Why have a home inspection?
A home inspection provides you with the critical information you need to make an informed decision regarding this important purchase. A home inspection will provide you with an evaluation of the current physical condition of a house, identify potential problems and defects, and can save you thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs.  As home buyer education specialists, our inspectors will provide you with a personal overview of basic operating systems and home maintenance tips.  For more information on home inspections visit the ASHI Web site at www.ashi.com.

What do we inspect?
We conduct a thorough, objective visual examination of the following:

  • Structural condition
  • Electrical, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning systems, and hot water heater
  • Condition and life expectancy of major systems
  • Kitchen and appliances
  • General interior, including ceilings, walls, floors, windows, insulation, and ventilation
  • General exterior, including roof, gutter, drainage, and grading

How should I choose a Home Inspector?
The state of Florida does not require licensing of Home Inspectors.  However, the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) has set rigid technical and ethical standards for the industry.  To become a member of ASHI, inspectors must pass a series of examinations and have gained experience as a practicing home inspector. Only inspectors who have met these qualifications are allowed to display the ASHI logo:
